The BRITISH BUS project was designed and implemented by the British Embassy Yerevan and Theatre for Changes NGO to communicate important messages about public life to schoolchildren living in Yerevan and in all regions of Armenia through eight 30-minute interactive educational plays. The objective of the project was to encourage schoolchildren to make a positive contribution to public life and take their share of responsibility in it.

British Bus performances feature the following topics:

  • Clean Environment
  • Consumer rights
  • Public Utility Services
  • Traffic Rules
  • Public Behaviour
  • Freedom of Choice
  • Tolerance and Diversity
  • Healthy Lifestyle and Personal Hygiene

Kids are involved in so called "correction of mistakes" during the plays. At the end of each performance, together with the actors, children sing a cheerful song about the featured topic. The interactive nature of the plays makes the learning process easy and enjoyable. They watch, listen, learn, sing, participate and have fun.

The project was supported by the British Embassy Yerevan and Eurasia Partnership Foundation.
